Background: Screening relatives of patients with ischemic heart disease can identify over half of the population with poorly controlled cardiovascular (CV) risk factors. Family or household members (FMs) may be highly motivated to undergo CV primary prevention screening at the time of their relative's admission to the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU).
Methods: Patients aged ≤ 70 years admitted to a tertiary CICU for an acute coronary event were given a letter to refer FMs for CV screening.
Generalized pustular psoriasis, or psoriasis of von Zumbusch, is an acute and severe clinical form of psoriasis, which usually occurs in patients with psoriasis undergoing aggravating factors. In this work, we report the case of a female patient, 70 years old, who developed generalized pustular psoriasis symptoms while reducing the dose of oral corticosteroids, improperly introduced for the treatment of alleged acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. The differential diagnosis of generalized pustular psoriasis should be made with other pustular dermatoses, such as subcorneal pustulosis, IgA pemphigus and especially with acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis.

Pain intensity was assessed with a visual analogic scale, a verbal scale and pain relief scores after half an hour, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 h. The day after treatment, patients rated the quality of pain relief, and were asked whether they wished to take again the same drug for the same type of pain.

The authors report one case of uterine rupture in a non scarred uterus when an analogue of prostaglandin E2 was being transfused. It was Sulprostone used to terminate a pregnancy because of fetal death in utero after 27 weeks of amenorrhea. This case history and an analysis of the literature makes it possible to point out the need to reach the diagnosis before signs become too severe and to show that pharmacological knowledge of the drug has to be improved as well as the ways of administering prostaglandin analogue.
