Results of the implementation of the DP-TRANSFERS project in Catalonia: a translational method to improve diabetes screening and prevention in primary care.

Introduction: DP-TRANSFERS is a translational lifestyle intervention project, which follows a previous protocol described in the DE-PLAN-CAT study.

Objective: Analyze the feasibility of reproducing the intensive intervention and estimating the effect of translation in real conditions of clinical practice in primary care.

Methodology: Implementation of the face-to-face group intervention adjusted to 2 years.

Assessing the impact of distal femoral morphology using Citak's ratio: an independent risk factor for aseptic loosening in rotating hinge knee prosthesis.

Background: Aseptic loosening (AL) is a frequent complication after rotating hinge knee (RHK) prosthesis. Citak's ratio has recently been developed to describe and classify distal femoral morphology into 3 groups (A, B, C). It consists in a ratio between the diameters of the femoral canal at 20 cm from the knee joint line and at 2 cm from the adductor tubercle.

Primary and Community Care Transformation in Post-COVID Era: Nationwide General Practitioner Survey.

Introduction: The health emergency caused by COVID-19 has led to substantial changes in the usual working system of primary healthcare centers and in relations with users. The Catalan Society of Family and Community Medicine designed a survey that aimed to collect the opinions and facilitate the participation of its partners on what the future work model of general practitioners (GPs) should look like post-COVID-19. Methodology: Online survey of Family and Community Medicine members consisting of filiation data, 22 Likert-type multiple-choice questions grouped in five thematic axes, and a free text question.

CAPPRIC Study-Characterization of Community-Acquired Pneumonia in Spanish Adults Managed in Primary Care Settings.

The real burden of community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) in non-hospitalized patients is largely unknown. This is a 3-year prospective, observational study of ambulatory CAP in adults, conducted in 24 Spanish primary care centers between 2016-2019. Sociodemographic and clinical variables of patients with radiographically confirmed CAP were collected.

Diabetic neuropathy (DNP) is the most common complication of diabetes and is of great clinical significance mainly due to the pain and the possibility of ulceration in the lower limbs. Early detection of neuropathy is essential in the medical management of this complication.
