Purpose: Estimating the sequential associations between educators' and children's talk during language learning interactions requires careful consideration of factors that may impact measurement stability and resultant inferences. This research note will describe a preliminary study that used generalizability theory to understand the contribution of two measurement conditions- and -on estimates of sequential associations between educator talk and autistic preschooler talk in inclusive preschool classrooms.
Method: We used an existing data set of four 15-min video-recorded occasions of educator-child interactions for 11 autistic preschoolers during free-play in their inclusive classroom.
Background: Health care disparities in rural and underserved areas necessitate quality primary care, especially in behavioral health management. Family nurse practitioners (FNPs) are critical in these regions, which often lack psychiatric specialists.
Problem: Rural communities face unique challenges exacerbated by primary care and mental health provider shortages.
Background: A need exists for a unified curriculum framework for nurse educators, recognizing racism as a central driver of health inequities.
Purpose: This paper provides nurse educators with a unifying curriculum framework that centers racism as a root cause of health inequity shaping SSDH.
Methods: A critical examination of the social and structural determinants of health (SSDH) and Yob's (2018) Framework for a Curriculum in Social Change was conducted, to develop a curriculum framework tailored to the intersection of SSDH and social change within nursing education.
