The importance of a child receiving their mother's own milk (MOM) in the care and treatment of preterm infants is undisputed in the literature. Despite this, lactation support in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is often fragmented. Gaps in adequate lactation care for infants receiving MOM, and barriers to that lactation care, can contribute to healthcare disparities and outcome inequalities.

Tethered glycoconjugates of a naphthalene- and piperidine-containing antagonist of the P2Y receptor (PPTN) were synthesized, and their nM receptor binding affinity was determined using a fluorescent tracer in hP2YR-expressing whole CHO cells. The rationale for preparing mono- and disaccharide conjugates of the antagonists was to explore the receptor binding site, which we know recognizes a glucose moiety on the native agonist (UDP-glucose), as well as enhance aqueous solubility and pharmacokinetics, including kidney excretion to potentially counteract sterile inflammation. Hyperspectral imagers, or imaging spectrometers, are used in many remote sensing environmental studies in fields such as agriculture, forestry, geology, and hydrology. In recent years, compact hyperspectral imagers were developed using commercial-off-the-shelf components, but there are not yet any off-the-shelf data acquisition systems on the market to deploy them. The lack of a self-contained data acquisition system with navigation sensors is a challenge that needs to be overcome to successfully deploy these sensors on remote platforms such as drones and aircraft.

P2Y receptor (P2YR) is activated by extracellular UDP-glucose, a damage-associated molecular pattern that promotes inflammation in the kidney, lung, fat tissue, and elsewhere. Thus, selective P2YR antagonists are potentially useful for inflammatory and metabolic diseases. Background: The creation of Family Health Teams in Ontario was intended to reconfigure primary care services to better meet the needs of an aging population, an increasing proportion of which is affected by frailty and multimorbidity. However, evaluations of family health teams have yielded mixed results.

Methods: We conducted interviews with 22 health professionals affiliated or working with a well-established family health team in Southwest Ontario to understand how it approached the development of interprofessional chronic disease management programs, including successes and areas for improvement.
