The massic activity of Ac in 0.1 mol/L HCl was measured by multiple primary methods over four consistent measurement campaigns. Results from the triple-to-double coincidence ratio (TDCR) method of liquid scintillation (LS) counting were in accord with other LS-based primary methods.

Article Synopsis
  • This Letter presents a precise measurement of the antineutrino spectrum from a reactor fueled exclusively with ^{235}U, using data from the PROSPECT-I detector.
  • The analysis doubled the previous measurements by utilizing previously unused segments of the detector, leading to a more accurate reconstruction of the antineutrino energy spectrum.
  • A notable excess in the antineutrino counts is observed in the 5-7 MeV energy range, indicating that the behavior of antineutrinos from ^{235}U cannot exclusively account for this anomaly compared to commercial reactors.

Background: Children in PICUs experience negative sequelae of immobility; however, interprofessional staff concerns about safety are a barrier to early mobilization. Our objective was to determine the safety profile of early mobilization in PICU patients.

Methods: We conducted a secondary analysis of a 2-day study focused on physical rehabilitation in 82 PICUs in 65 US hospitals.

The PROSPECT and STEREO collaborations present a combined measurement of the pure ^{235}U antineutrino spectrum, without site specific corrections or detector-dependent effects. The spectral measurements of the two highest precision experiments at research reactors are found to be compatible with χ^{2}/ndf=24.1/21, allowing a joint unfolding of the prompt energy measurements into antineutrino energy.
