Stroke is the second leading cause of death worldwide, according to the latest report by the World Health Organization (WHO). Intracerebral hemorrhage comprises 20-25% of the stroke in the young, with incidence rates of three to six in 100,000 people per year. One of the most common and important causes of hemorrhagic stroke in the general population is hypertension.

Objective: To estimate limb loss prevalence in the United States (US) by etiology and anatomical position and the trends of limb loss over 40 years.

Design: We used the National Inpatient Sample, Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project to estimate current and future limb loss prevalence in the US and by anatomical location. Prevalence estimates were based on the incidence and duration of the disease.

This investigation evaluated validity and reliability of the HUMAC360 linear position transducer (LPT) compared to the Tendo Sport Weightlifting Analyzer (TENDO) for measuring mean velocity (MV), peak velocity (PV), and displacement (D) during the bench press. Seventeen recreationally active individuals completed three visits. During visit one, participants were assessed for their one repetition maximum (1RM) bench press.
