Cytokines are small proteins that are critical for controlling the growth and activity of hematopoietic cells by binding to cell surface receptors and transmitting signals across membranes. The β common (βc) cytokine receptor family, consisting of the granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), interleukin (IL)-3, and IL-5 cytokine receptors, is an architype of the heterodimeric cytokine receptor systems. We now know that signaling by cytokine receptors is not always an "all or none" phenomenon.

A total of 648 male Hybrid Converter day-old turkeys were divided into two groups of 9 replicate pens of 36 birds each, and fed a commercial-type program of 7 diet phases. In phase 1 birds were fed a corn-soybean meal Control diet for 4 weeks, or a diet with 2% SDPP of similar nutrient density.

Hence, BM-MSCs were genetically-engineered to express the anti-fibrotic and renoprotective hormone, human relaxin-2 (RLX) and green fluorescent protein (BM-MSCs-eRLX + GFP), which enabled BM-MSCs-eRLX + GFP delivery via a single intravenous injection.
Methods: BM-MSCs were lentiviral-transduced with human relaxin-2 cDNA and GFP, under a eukaryotic translation elongation factor-1α promoter (BM-MSCs-eRLX + GFP) or GFP alone (BM-MSCs-eGFP).
Objective: Efficient diagnostic methods, such as the Sysmex PA-100, provide rapid antimicrobial susceptibility test results directly from urine samples with high sensitivity and specificity, and improve treatment recommendations. Our study analyzes the economic impact of integrating the Sysmex PA-100 to assess its potential benefits and cost implications for uncomplicated urinary tract infection (uUTI) management in Spain.
Methodology: A budget impact model was developed using a decision tree framework to compare current UTI management practices with a new scenario incorporating the Sysmex PA-100.
This study aimed to determine the effects of spray dried plasma (SDP) on growth performance, carcass traits, tibia quality, and hemagglutination inhibition titers in broilers fed two nutritional strategies with high or low nutrient density. In the study, 816 one-day-old Ross 308 male broiler chickens were divided into a 2 × 2 factorial arrangements consisting of four treatment groups with 12 replicates (17 birds/replicate) based on diets with high nutrient density (HND) or low nutrient density (LND) from d 0 to 42 and receiving either control or 1% SDP diets during d 0 to 10. The results showed that feed intake (FI) and body weight gain (BWG) were increased (P < 0.
