Adolescents' involvement in mental health treatment and service design: a systematic review.

Background: Adolescents' involvement in their mental healthcare is considered a fundamental human right. However, there is a lack of consensus regarding the extent and nature of user involvement and limited research on user involvement in adolescent mental healthcare has previously been identified. Given the evolving focus on this area, this study explores the experiences with, the effectiveness of, and safety issues related to adolescents' user involvement in mental healthcare.

Outlier ophthalmologists in the treatment of neovascular age-related macular degeneration with intravitreal therapy.

Background: To compare individual ophthalmologists grouped as outliers or non-outliers based on the mean 12-month visual acuity (VA) outcomes for their patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD).

Methods: This prospectively designed database study included treatment-naïve eyes with nAMD starting vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitors between July 2018 and April 2023 in Australia. Ophthalmologists were classified into high outliers, non-outliers and low outliers with a funnel plot of the adjusted mean 12-month VA change.

Therefore, to improve patient outcomes, the field continues to develop novel interventions for this visual disorder. Accordingly, this first-in-human study reports on the safety profile of a novel dopamine-based ophthalmic treatment for myopia, levodopa/carbidopa eye drops.
