The current study examines mother and father PPD as a risk factor for child emotion regulation difficulties. A model was tested in which parent depression and parent emotion socialization of children were serial intervening variables. Parent emotion socialization was assessed via parent self-reported supportive and nonsupportive reactions to child negative emotions.

YouTube Kids: Understanding Gender and Emotion through Modern Media.

Unlabelled: This project examines associations of gender and emotions in videos on YouTube Kids, a virtual environment for socialization during middle childhood. We selected YouTube Kids because of its popularity, newness, and absence in previous research on emotion socialization. The top 20 recommended videos were sampled and coded for gender and emotional content, by two independent teams of coders.

Influences on androgen deprivation therapy prescribing before surgery in high-risk prostate cancer.

Objectives: To understand how best to further reduce the inappropriate use of pre-surgical androgen deprivation therapy (ADT), we investigated the determinants (influences) of ADT prescribing in urologists in two European countries using an established behavioural science approach. Additionally, we sought to understand how resource limitations caused by COVID-19 influenced this practice. Identification of key determinants, of undistributed and disrupted practice, will aid development of future strategies to reduce inappropriate ADT prescribing in current and future resource-limited settings.

Emotion-related Processes Between Parents and Adolescents: Evidence for Bidirectional Effects over Time.

Parent emotion socialization has long been studied in relation to children's socioemotional adjustment. Little attention has been paid to how parents' socialization responses are shaped by youth characteristics over time, such as emotional lability. The present study explored the mutual influence between parent emotion socialization and adolescent emotional lability.
