At the onset of lactation, dairy cattle are anestrous owing mainly to a state of negative energy balance. Adipose tissue is mobilized to meet the energy demands of milk production, and this alters the secretion of adipose-derived hormones, called adipokines. Irisin is a myokine/adipokine that may play a role in fertility; plasma concentrations increase in cattle post-partum, and irisin decreased progesterone and estradiol secretion from bovine granulosa cells in vitro.

Introduction: Impostor phenomenon (IP), where individuals attribute their success to external factors rather than their abilities, is prevalent in competitive environments like medical school. Research on how the onboarding medical school curriculum influences IP is limited, but recent studies suggest that situated learning theory (SLT) may help inform how we approach IP. This study sought the effects of an SLT-focused, specifically communities of practice and legitimate peripheral participation, workshop during orientation week on IP perception among first- and second-year medical students.

Our previous studies have identified phoenixin-14 (PNX-14) and its receptor GPR173 in the porcine corpus luteum (CL) during the estrous cycle and their role in the endocrine function. This study explored PNX-14's impact on luteal angiogenesis, proliferation, and apoptosis. Luteal cells were cultured with PNX-14 at doses 1-1000 nM for 24-72 h.

Overconsumption of fructose is linked to metabolic diseases, which are often associated with reduced fertility. GLUT5 is the most specific fructose transporter. To investigate its role in the testes, we analyzed the male reproductive phenotype of transgenic male mice deficient in GLUT5 (GLUT5-/- or GLUT5 knockout [KO] mice).

Aims: To analyze in a population of persons with type 1 diabetes (PwT1D) ambulatory glucose profile (AGP) parameters - including glycemia risk index (GRI) - for six months after hybrid closed loop (HCL) initiation in a multisite out-of-hospital French center (CIRDIA). We calculated the percentage of people reaching glucose targets and determined a GRI threshold that could identify patients reaching targets.

Methods: This was a retrospective study conducted in the CIRDIA, a multisite (n=7) out-of-hospital HCL initiation center.
