Article Synopsis
  • Minas Frescal cheese (MFC) is prone to microbial growth due to its high water content and neutral pH, which can spoil the product and affect quality.
  • This study investigates the effects of using high hydrostatic pressure (HHP) and ultraviolet C (UV-C) radiation, both individually and in combination, to reduce total aerobic bacteria (TAB) in MFC.
  • The results show that increasing HHP levels effectively lower TAB counts, improving the cheese's microbiological quality and potentially extending its shelf life.

Covering: 2010 to 2023Cyanobacterial natural products are a diverse group of molecules with promising biotechnological applications. This review examines the chemical diversity of 995 cyanobacterial metabolites reported from 2010 to 2023. A computational analysis using similarity networking was applied to visualize the chemical space and to compare the diversity of cyanobacterial metabolites among taxonomic orders and environmental sources.

Objective: To develop a convolutional neural network (CNN) model, trained with the Brazilian "Estudo Longitudinal de Saúde do Adulto Musculoesquelético" (ELSA-Brasil MSK, Longitudinal Study of Adult Health, Musculoskeletal) baseline radiographic examinations, for the automated classification of knee osteoarthritis.

Materials And Methods: This was a cross-sectional study carried out with 5,660 baseline posteroanterior knee radiographs from the ELSA-Brasil MSK database (5,660 baseline posteroanterior knee radiographs). The examinations were interpreted by a radiologist with specific training, and the calibration was as established previously.
