[Skin gangrene of the external genitalia. Report of 44 cases].

Study Aim: The aim of this study is to report 44 cases of male external genitalia cutaneous gangrene which have been observed at the Principal Hospital of Dakar (Senegal) during a 4-year period.

Patients And Methods: The patients all belonged to a black and poor population (mean age: 60 years). Diabetes was present in 11% of the patients.

[Post-partum malignant amebic colitis. Apropos of a case].

A 26-year old female developed acute fulminant amoebic colitis during the post-partum period, successfully managed by subtotal colonic resection without anastomosis. Fulminant transmural amoebic colitis is a rare life-threatening complication of invasive bowel amebiasis. Pregnancy, delivery, diabetes mellitus and immunodeficiency are the main risk factors.

[Congenital cystic dilatation of the choledochus: apropos of a case diagnosed in an adult Senegalese women].

The authors report a case of congenital cystic dilatation of the choledochus diagnosed on a 37 years old senegalese woman. It is an uncommon affection in Africa. The clinical presentation with various signs is reviewed.
