Objective: To investigate the impact of physician unawareness towards laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR) on healthcare costs.
Methods: Patients with a confirmed LPR diagnosis were consecutively recruited from Belgian Hospitals. Demographics and clinical outcomes (impedance-pH testing features, reflux symptom score, and reflux sign assessment) were extracted.
Preparation requires technical research and development, as well as adaptive, proactive governance.

Study Objective: To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of EtCO monitoring during in-hospital cardiorespiratory arrest (CA) care outside the intensive care unit (ICU) and emergency room department.
Design: We performed a cost-effectiveness analysis based on a simple decision model cost analysis and reported the study using the CHEERS checklist. Model inputs were derived from a retrospective Brazilian cohort study, complemented by information obtained through a literature review.
Background: The diagnosis of large vessel vasculitis (LVV) is often challenging due to the various clinical appearances and the low prevalence. Hybrid imaging by positron emission tomography and computed tomography (PET/CT) is a highly relevant imaging modality for diagnostics and disease surveillance but may be associated with a significant amount of radiation dose especially in patients with complications.
Objective: The aim of this retrospective analysis was to compare the image quality and impact of hybrid imaging methods PET/CT and PET/MRI on the potential for dose reduction.
Treatment options for ovarian cancer patients are limited, and a high unmet clinical need remains for targeted and long-lasting, efficient drugs. Genetically modified T cells expressing chimeric antigen receptors (CAR), are promising new drugs that can be directed towards a defined target and have shown efficient, as well as persisting, anti-tumor responses in many patients. We sought to develop novel CAR T cells targeting ovarian cancer and to assess these candidates preclinically.
