The pan-cancer and multi-omics approach is motivated by the genetic and molecular complexity inherent in the varied types of cancer. This method presents itself as a crucial resource for advancing early diagnosis, defining prognoses and identifying treatments that share common bases between different forms of tumors. The aim of this article is to explore pan-cancer analysis in conjunction with multi-omics strategies, evaluating laboratory, computational, clinical procedures and their consequences, as well as examining the tumor microenvironment, epigenetics and future directions of these technologies in patient management.

In contrast to natural antibodies that rely mainly on the heavy chain to establish contacts with their cognate antigen, we have developed a bispecific antibody format in which the light chain (LC) drives antigen binding and specificity. To better understand epitope-paratope interactions in this context, we determined the X-ray crystallographic structures of an antigen binding fragment (Fab) in complex with human CD47 and another Fab in complex with human PD-L1. These Fabs contain a κ-LC and a λ-LC, respectively, which are paired with an identical heavy chain (HC).

Background And Aim: By using an in vivo phenotypic screening assay in zebrafish, we identified Convolamine, a tropane alkaloid from Convulvus plauricalis, as a positive modulator of the sigma-1 receptor (S1R). The wfs1ab zebrafish larva, a model of Wolfram syndrome, exhibits an increased visual-motor response due to a mutation in Wolframin, a protein involved in endoplasmic reticulum-mitochondria communication. We previously reported that ligand activating S1R, restored the cellular and behavioral deficits in patient fibroblasts and zebrafish and mouse models.

Uranium (U) contamination of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems poses a significant threat to the environment and human health due to the chemotoxicity of this actinide. The characterization of organisms that tolerate and accumulate U is crucial to decipher the mechanisms evolved to cope with the radionuclide and to propose new effective strategies for the bioremediation of U-contaminated environments. Here, we isolated a unicellular green microalga of the genus Coelastrella from U-contaminated wastewater.
