Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is the most common non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Despite a high cure rate, too many patients show refractory (ref) or relapsed (rel) disease. This study examines the frequency of recurring gene mutations and their interplay with well-known biomarkers in female and male patients between 18 and 80 years with ref/rel DLBCL compared to patients with complete remission (CR) to identify biological risk factors associated with treatment response, using cohorts of R-CHOP-like treated DLBCL enrolled in clinical trials of the DSHNHL.

X-linked Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT1X) is an inherited demyelinating neuropathy caused by loss-of-function mutations in the GJB1 gene, encoding the gap junction protein connexin32 (Cx32). Cx32 plays a critical role in Schwann cell function and myelin formation in the peripheral nervous system. We have developed a gene replacement therapeutic approach using a humanized AAVrh10 vector construct expressing GJB1 under the control of the Schwann cell-specific human myelin protein zero (MPZ) promoter.

Purpose: To develop and compare machine learning models for distinguishing low and high grade meningiomas on multiparametric MRI.

Methods: Pre-operative T1-weighted(T1), contrast-enhanced T1-weighted(T1CE), T2-weighted, T2 FLAIR, and DWI/ADC MRI sequences of meningiomas performed between 2000 and 2020 were retrospectively collected from a single tertiary hospital dedicated neurosurgical department. Tumours were manually segmented and handcrafted radiomic features were extracted.

Background: We investigated the relationship between nut and legume intake and risk of Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC).

Methods: We conducted a prospective cohort study of 223 283 adults from the Nurses' Health Study (NHS), NHSII, and Health Professionals Follow-Up Study (1986-2017), excluding those with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) at baseline. Food frequency questionnaires were used to calculate nut and legume intake.

Objective: To investigate differences in fetal vertebroplacental ratio (VPR) depending on the occurrence of operative delivery for suspected fetal compromise (ODFC) and composite perinatal outcome (CPO) at delivery.

Methods: This was a prospective observational cohort study conducted in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Hospitals of Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, between December 2022 and April 2024. Women with a term (37-42 gestational weeks) singleton pregnancy with an appropriate-for-gestational-age (AGA) fetus were recruited, before cervical dilatation reached 5 cm, for sonographic fetal weight estimation (EFW) and Doppler sonography of the umbilical artery (UA), umbilical vein (UV), middle cerebral artery (MCA) and vertebral artery (VA).
