Objectives: Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a prevalent sexually transmitted infection with significant implications for public health. In Poland, a nationwide vaccination program offers a choice between the 9-valent (9v) and 2-valent (2v) HPV vaccines. We aimed to assess the cost-effectiveness of the 9v vs 2v vaccine from the public payer perspective in Poland.

Plastics are an important usable energy resource. The energy stored in them can be used as fuel in modified high-energy materials. Such use makes it possible to simultaneously dispose of waste plastics and improve the energy properties of modified explosives.

The Effect of the Reaction pH on Properties of Lead(II) Azide.

Lead(II) azide is an initiating explosive; even a small amount can trigger an explosion caused by simple external stimuli, such as sparks, flames, friction or pinpricks, and is able to initiate the explosive reaction of rock-crushing explosives. Due to the fact that this initiating explosive triggers further reactions, the effect of priming detonators depends on the properties of its material. Its sensitivity is associated with the size of its crystals.

Fluctuations of the elemental composition in the layers of mineral deposits formed on the elements of biogas engines.

The aim of the research was to compare the chemical composition and morphology of the surface of the backsheet growing on the metallic and surface substrate growing already on the prepared mineral substrate. Moreover the aim of this study was also to analyze the dispersion of chemical elements on the cross-sections of deposits formed on parts of landfill biogas-driven engines. The chemical composition of extreme layers of mineral deposits extracted from the engine piston and their cross-sections from four pistons and one head was examined by SEM-EDS.

Progressive muscle relaxation according to Jacobson in treatment of the patients with temporomandibular joint disorders.

Significant impact factor and psycho-emotional stress in the etiology of dysfunction indicate the need of the routine approach in the treatment of patients with temporomandibular joint disorders to be changed. The aim of the study was to obtain data, documented test results as to the effciency of progressive muscle relaxation in the treatment of pain caused by temporomandibular joint disorders, as a supplement to previous methods using occlusal splint and other physical therapies. The study included 100 patients of both sexes, aged from 20 to 35 years who were diagnosed with pain due to temporomandibular joint disorders accompanied with high muscle tension of musticatory muscles which were treatment by relaxation therapy.
