This article aims to compare the dosimetric performance between knowledge-based plan (KBP) libraries with and without trade-off (TO) exploration using multicriterial optimization (MCO) for tongue cancer patients. The trade-off optimized library (KBP_MCO) contains a minimal number of constituent plans, whereas two nontrade-off optimized libraries contain a minimal and a large number of treatment plans, respectively. Three KBP libraries were created: KBP_100 and KBP_20, each comprising of 100 and 20 manually optimized plans, respectively.

Previous interoception research has demonstrated that sensory processing is reduced during cardiac systole, an effect associated with diminished cortical excitability, possibly due to heightened baroreceptor activity. This study aims to determine how phases of the cardiac cycle-systole and diastole-modulate neural sensorimotor activity during motor imagery (MI) and motor execution (ME). We hypothesised that MI performance, indexed by enhanced suppression of contralateral sensorimotor alpha (8-13 Hz) and beta (14-30 Hz) activity, would be modulated by the cardiac phases, with improved performance during diastole due to enhanced sensory processing of movement cues.

Half-metallic Co-based full Heusler alloys have captured considerable attention of researchers in the realm of spintronic applications, owing to their remarkable characteristics such as exceptionally high spin polarization at the Fermi level, ultra-low Gilbert damping, and a high Curie temperature. In this comprehensive study, employing the density functional theory, we delve into the electronic stability and ballistic spin transport properties of a magnetic tunneling junction (MTJ) comprising a CoMnSb/HfIrSb interface. An in-depth investigation of -dependent spin transmissions uncovers the occurrence of coherent tunneling for the Mn-Mn/Ir interface, particularly when a spacer layer beyond a certain thickness is employed.

Article Synopsis
  • Invasive breast cancer, particularly the no special type subtype, is the most common breast cancer, while lymphoma and melanoma are the primary tumors that spread to the breast.
  • Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) is a common pediatric soft-tissue cancer, rare in the breast, typically affecting adolescent girls and mostly presenting as the alveolar variant.
  • A case study of a 17-year-old girl highlights the unusual occurrence of RMS metastasizing to both breasts, initially misdiagnosed as tuberculosis affecting the spine, illustrating the difficulty in diagnosing such rare cases.
