Objectives: To investigate clinical characteristics, symptom profile, testing practices, treatment patterns and quality of life (QoL) among patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in Latin America.
Design: Data from the Adelphi Real World PAH Disease Specific Programme, a cross-sectional survey with retrospective data collection.
Setting: University/teaching hospital, regional centres, private practices and government institutions in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.
An in-depth literature review of up to 2023 reveals 330 risk loci found by genetic association at ≤ 5 × 10, with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in at least one study of 160 pertinent publications. There are 225 loci found in East Asian (EAS), 106 in European (EU), 11 in African-American (AA), 18 Mixed American (MA), and 1 in Egyptian ancestries. Unexpectedly, most of these associations are found to date at ≤ 5 × 10 in a single ancestry.

- - Observations show that larger butter clams tend to have higher levels of paralytic shellfish toxins (PSTs), even when overall toxin levels appear stable.
- - The findings suggest that larger clams have a heightened risk of contributing to toxic levels in harvested samples, which is important for monitoring programs and local harvesters’ safety.
Background: Extended reality technology (XR) in simulation-based medical education is becoming more prevalent. This study examined Canadian simulation centre directors' perceptions toward XR and their self-reported adoption of XR within their centres.
Methods: We conducted a national, cross-sectional survey study to examine five kinds of XR: Immersive Virtual Environments, Screen-based Virtual Worlds, Virtual Simulators, Immersive Augmented Reality, and Non-immersive Augmented Reality.
We present a genome assembly from an individual (the sardine; Chordata; Actinopteri; Clupeiformes; Clupeidae). The genome sequence spans 869.40 megabases.
