Introduction: Mycetoma is a chronic granulomatous infection, common throughout tropical regions, and is considered a neglected disease that mostly affects impoverished populations. Mycetoma is divided into eumycetoma, caused by fungi, and actinomycetoma, caused by filamentous bacteria. Clinical presentation is distinctive, and making the diagnosis is usually not difficult; however, access to safe and effective treatments is a major challenge.

Background: Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is considered a rare disease with high morbidity and mortality risks. Most research on this disease is conducted in pediatric settings. Therefore, this study aimed to describe the clinical characteristics, laboratory findings, and outcomes related to HLH in people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/AIDS) and disseminated histoplasmosis.

Long Electrical Stability on Dual Acceptor p-Type ZnO:Ag,N Thin Films.

p-type Ag-N dual acceptor doped ZnO thin films with long electrical stability were deposited by DC magnetron reactive co-sputtering technique. After deposition, the films were annealed at 400 °C for one hour in a nitrogen-controlled atmosphere. The deposited films were amorphous.
