This research investigates the structural, morphological, and optical properties of Cadmium Selenide (CdSe) thin films deposited via the Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD) Technique, focusing on the impact of Iron (Fe) doping. Using Cadmium Chloride (CdCl) and Ferrous chloride (FeCl) as precursor materials, the research investigates how Fe doping affects the structural and photoelectric characteristics of the films. Employing various characterization methods including X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and UV-Vis NIR spectroscopy, the study provides a comprehensive analysis of the films.

Although the mechanism for activation of latent TGFβ1 and TGFβ3 is understood to involve the binding of the TGFβ propeptide (LAP) to both an integrin and an insoluble substrate, the activation of latent TGFβ2 has been unclear because the TGFβ2 LAP does not have the classical integrin binding sequence found in the other two TGFβ isoform LAPs. To assess the potential requirement for covalent linkage with a matrix or cell surface protein for the activation of latent TGFβ2, we generated mice in which the TGFβ2 Cys residue predicted to be involved in binding was mutated to Ser (). We reasoned that, if covalent interaction with a second molecule is required for latent TGFβ2 activation, mutant mice should display a null ()-like phenotype.

The severity of aortic stenosis (AS) is associated with acquired von Willebrand syndrome (AVWS) and gastrointestinal bleeding, leading to anemia (Heyde's syndrome). We investigated how anemia is linked with AS and AVWS using the LA100 mouse model and patients with AS. Induction of anemia in LA100 mice increased transforming growth factor (TGF)-β1 activation, AVWS, and AS progression.

In recent years, inorganic metal nanoparticle fabrication by extraction of a different part of the plant has been gaining more importance. In this research, cellulose-mediated Ag nanoparticles (cellulose/Ag NPs) with excellent antibacterial and antioxidant properties and photocatalytic activity have been synthesized by the microwave-assisted hydrothermal method. This method is a green, simple, and low-cost method that does not use any other capping or reducing agents.
