Background: People with HIV (PWH) are aging. Frailty is an age-related condition predictive of hospitalization and mortality. Here, we assessed the frequency and factors associated with frailty transitions at 1-year follow-up in elderly PWH.

Sensitization Potency of Sunflower Seed Protein in a Mouse Model: Identification of 2S-Albumins More Allergenic Than SFA-8.

Scope: Food allergy to sunflower seed (SFS) protein is not frequent and only non-specific lipid transfert protein (nsLTP) Hel a 3 is officially recognized as a food allergen. Out of the eleven seed storage 2S-albumins (SESA) detected in SFS, only SFA-8 allergenicity has been investigated so far. The study aimed then to evaluate SFS protein allergenicity and particularly, to compare the sensitization potency of SESA in a mouse model.

Small bowel tumors: what is the contribution of video capsule endoscopy?

Background: Intestinal tumors represent less than 6% of digestive tumors and, because of the limitations of intestinal investigations, these tumors are difficult to diagnose. In this context, capsule endoscopy (CE) has proven effective especially in patients with obscure digestive bleeding. The aim of the present study was to calculate the frequency, and evaluate the diagnostic and therapeutic impact of CE in cases of small bowel tumors.
