Background: Quantitative mucus cytokine analysis to examine the sinonasal microenvironment may bridge the gap between patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) and empirical measures of inflammation in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS).

This work aimed to improve some steps of the existing guidelines of the European Standards to obtain an Aspergillus brasiliensis ATCC 16404 spore suspension with >75% spiny spores without mycelia and a concentration of at least 1.5 × 108 CFU ml-1. Several manufacturers' combinations of "strain/medium" were assessed in terms of yield of spiny spores.

Introduction: Small cell transformation (SCT) is a typical mechanism of adaptive resistance to third generation epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitors (EGFRi) which have become the standard of care for EGFR-driven non-small cell lung cancer (EGFR+ NSCLC).
