Background: Previous works have shown that the expression of Class-II-Transactivator (CIITA) in tumor cells reduces the growth of glioblastoma (GB) in animal models, but immune effects cannot solely explain this. Here, we searched for immune-independent effects of CIITA on the proliferation of GB.
Methods: Murine GL261 and human U87, GM2 and GM3 malignant glioma cells were transfected with CIITA.

Methods: Data from 2935 neonates born at <32 weeks' gestation and/or with a birth weight <1500 g admitted to all nine Dutch NICUs over a two-year surveillance period (2019-2020) were analysed.
This article explores how the modeling of energy systems may lead to an undue closure of alternatives by generating an excess of certainty around some of the possible policy options. We retrospectively exemplify the problem with the case of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) global modeling in the 1980s. We discuss different methodologies for quality assessment that may help mitigate this issue, which include Numeral Unit Spread Assessment Pedigree (NUSAP), diagnostic diagrams, and sensitivity auditing (SAUD).

The timeline of astrocyte development and maturation in this model is currently unknown and this limits the value and applicability of the model. Therefore, we generated CerOrgs from three healthy individuals and assessed astrocyte maturation after 5, 11, 19, and 37 weeks in culture.
