The aim of this cross-sectional observational study was to assess whether nulliparous Holstein heifer fertility is associated with (1) energy reserve-related traits, such as body condition score (BCS) and body weight (BW); (2) ovarian reserve-related traits, such as Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) and antral follicle count (AFC); and (3) development-related traits, such as anogenital distance (AGD) and vulval length (VUL). From August 2022 through July 2023, we used a prospective approach in which the phenotypic traits (BCS, AMH, AFC, AGD, BW, and VUL) of 698 Holstein heifers were measured once at approximately 12 mo of age (at the beginning of the breeding program). All heifers were submitted to the herd reproductive management from 367 ± 3 d of age and 297 kg of BW until 570 d of age, or 5 breedings.

We report the oncological, clinical, and functional outcomes in patients treated with biological reconstructions.
Patients And Methods: This study included 23 consecutive patients with primary bone sarcoma of humerus who underwent resection and biological reconstructions at a single institution.
Reproductive efficiency has a major impact on the profitability of dairy operations. Focusing on improving the reproductive performance of cows with expected reduced fertility is desired; however, further research is needed in this area. The objectives of this study were to identify a subpopulation of cows with suboptimal fertility and evaluate whether hormonal interventions would improve the reproductive efficiency of low-fertility cows.

Given the imminent use of certain blood biomarkers in the routine diagnostic work-up of patients with suspected AD, knowledge on the potential impact of comorbidities on the utility of blood biomarkers is important. We aimed to evaluate the association between kidney function, assessed through estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) calculated from plasma creatinine and AD blood biomarkers, as well as their influence over predicting Aβ-positivity.

The COVID-19 lockdowns further amplified these inequalities. We aimed to assess its impact on this population across Chelsea and Westminster Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
