Maternal behaviour is important for lamb survival, as ewes perform many behaviours that affect the chances of a lamb surviving. Collecting maternal behaviour data directly at lambing is time-consuming and not considered suitable for acquiring the large volumes of data that would be required for using as selection criteria within commercial breeding flocks. The aim of this study was to investigate if a simple scoring system is heritable and assesses the expression of behaviours that reduce the probability of lamb mortality.

Chronic GvHD of the penile tract in male pediatric patients has not been described well in the literature and is often under-diagnosed. We report three cases of penile chronic GvHD in adolescent male patients who received HSCT before the onset of puberty. Their penile cGvHD became symptomatic upon the onset of penile growth associated with puberty in combination with the fibrotic changes in the foreskin.

Modelling of many real-world processes, such as drug delivery, wastewater treatment, and pharmaceutical production, requires accurate descriptions of the dynamics of hard particles confined in complicated domains. In particular, when modelling sedimentation processes or systems with driven flows, it is important to accurately capture volume exclusion effects. This work applies Dynamic Density Functional Theory to the evolution of a particle density under diffusion, external forces, particle-particle interaction, and volume exclusion.

The number of undergraduate students from underrepresented backgrounds enrolled in science and technology-related courses has increased over the past 20 years, but these students' persistence in STEM majors until graduation still lags behind the overall college population. Interventions like exposure to independent research, instruction using active learning, and connection within a scientific community have been shown to increase persistence and the development of science identity, especially for underrepresented minority students (URM), students with high financial need, and first-generation college students. However, exposure to research for introductory students can be expensive or challenging for an institution to provide and for some students to access.
