Background: Moderate alcohol use may be associated with brain and cognitive benefits compared to heavy alcohol use. However, results have varied. We hypothesized that the relationship between alcohol use and cognition is mediated by neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular measures in a diverse middle-aged sample of non-alcohol dependent community-dwelling adults in Northern Manhattan.

This study examines how early life exposure to structural sexism influences cognitive trajectories among women racialized as Black and White.
Method: This study analyzed longitudinal data from two cohort studies: the Washington Heights-Inwood Columbia Aging Project (WHICAP) and the Health and Retirement Study (HRS).

Research on occupational complexity and cognitive function has focused on high-income countries, where there is a large proportion of individuals with complex occupations. Thus, it is important to investigate this association in the context of low- and middle-income countries where there is greater variance in occupation complexity and where there is a higher proportion of lower-complexity occupations due to educational and other socioeconomic limitations.

Cisplatin (CP) is an antineoplastic drug associated with various cytotoxic adverse effects, including hepatotoxicity. Exercise training may offer hepatoprotection by improving redox status. This study compared the effects of light-intensity continuous training (LICT), moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT), and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on CP-induced hepatotoxicity in female Wistar rats.
