After an election, should election officials release a copy of each anonymous ballot? Some policy-makers have championed public disclosure to counter distrust, but others worry that it might undermine ballot secrecy. We introduce the term vote revelation to refer to the linkage of a vote on an anonymous ballot to the voter's name in the public voter file and detail how such revelation could theoretically occur. Using the 2020 election in Maricopa County, Arizona, as a case study, we show that the release of individual ballot records would lead to no revelation of any vote choice for 99.

Multiple lines of evidence indicate that immune signaling can impact the pathological progression in Alzheimer's disease (AD), including amyloid deposition, tau aggregation, synaptic pathology and neurodegenerative trajectory. In earlier studies, we reported that intracerebral expression of the anti-inflammatory cytokines, Interleukin-10 (Il10) and Interleukin-4 (Il4), increased amyloid β (Aβ) burden in TgCRND8 mice, a preclinical model of AD-type amyloidosis. As both Interleukin-10 receptor (IL10R) and Interleukin-4 receptor (IL4R) are upregulated in an age-progressive manner in rodent models of AD and in specific regions of human AD brains, we hypothesized that a decoy receptor strategy specifically targeting Il10 and Il4 signaling could have a disease-modifying effect.

Diabetes care in Canada is compromised by the lack of resources to adequately address the mental health challenges associated with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes. To address this gap Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) Canada and Diabetes Canada developed a bilingual training program, and associated directory listing successful graduates, to educate and empower existing mental health providers to better provide services to those living with diabetes. This paper reports on the development and initial outcomes of this virtual training program.
