The detection of norm deviations is fundamental to clinical decision making and impacts our ability to diagnose and treat diseases effectively. Current normative modeling approaches rely on generic comparisons and quantify deviations in relation to the population average. However, generic models interpolate subtle nuances and risk the loss of critical information, thereby compromising effective personalization of health care strategies.

Although neurogenic potential is maintained throughout life in the DG as neural stem cells (NSCs) continue to generate new neurons, neurogenesis decreases with advancing age, with implications for age-related cognitive decline and disease. In this study, we used single-cell RNA sequencing to characterize transcriptomic signatures of neurogenic cells and their surrounding DG niche, identifying molecular changes associated with neurogenic aging from the activation of quiescent NSCs to the maturation of fate-committed progeny.

Using a multilayer network approach, we integrated these three modalities to portray an enriched representation of the brain's core-periphery organization and explore its alterations in PwMS. In this retrospective cross-sectional study, we selected PwMS and healthy controls with complete multimodal brain MRI acquisitions from 13 European centers within the MAGNIMS network.

In this study, we included 252 RA patients with 756 age and sex matched controls and 240 UC patients with 720 age and sex matched controls using the UK Biobank imaging dataset. We looked for differences in total volume of white matter hyperintensities (WMH) between patients compared to controls.
