Background: Cervical cancer, primarily caused by persistent high-risk human papillomavirus (hrHPV) infections, is a significant health burden, particularly in low-resource settings such as Sarawak, Malaysia. Effective prevention depends on effective vaccination and early hrHPV detection. This study compares the performance of the point-of-care test (POCT) SD Biosensor Standard™ M10 HPV and laboratory-based Seegene Anyplex™ II HPV HR assay, focusing on their ability to detect and genotype hrHPV in self-collected high vaginal swab samples.

Aims: This study investigated the role of plasma proteins in obesity to identify predictive biomarkers and explore underlying biological mechanisms.

Methods: In the Cooperative Health Research in the Region of Augsburg (KORA) FF4 study, 809 proteins were measured in 2045 individuals (564 obese and 1481 non-obese). Multivariate logistic regression adjusted for confounders (basic and full models) was used to identify obesity-associated proteins.

Purpose: To present a case of uveal melanoma masquerading as choroidal lymphoma.

Methods: A retrospective case report in which medical and imaging records, including fundus photography, optical coherence tomography, fundus autofluorescence, fluorescein angiography, and ultrasonography were reviewed.

Results: A 77-year-old woman presented with decreased vision was found to have a diffuse, shallow, yellow choroidal mass associated with RPE pigmentary changes and exudative detachment in her right eye.

Hydrodynamics of surfactant monolayers are governed by surface tension, surface shear viscosity, surface dilatational viscosity, and surface diffusivity. While the first two have been studied comprehensively with consistent results, surface dilatational viscosity is plagued with anomalies, including apparent negative values. Here, full-field interfacial velocity measurements together with the Navier-Stokes equations reveal that a source of these anomalies is the use of equilibrium surface diffusivity for systems far from equilibrium.

Endometritis and postpartum dysgalactiae syndrome are common postpartum disorders in sows revealing antimicrobial treatment. This study evaluated the influence of the intrauterine application of a phytotherapeutic agent (EucaComp©) after farrowing containing essences of marjoram, marigold, melissa and eucalyptus and other sow-related parameters on the uterine involution. In total, 150 Landrace x Large white sows (parity 1-9) were divided randomly into three groups (no intervention (Control), 300 ml sodium chloride (Placebo) and 300 ml of phytotherapeutic agent (Phytotherapeutic)).
