Transformative technologies to sequence tumor genomes at large scale and single-cell resolution have exposed the repertoire of genetic alterations that are present in leukemia genomes, the timing of their acquisition and patterns of their co-occurrence. In parallel, single-cell multi-omics technologies are allowing us to map the differentiation paths and hierarchical structures of malignant cells and giving us a glimpse into hematopoietic development in prenatal life. We propose that interrogating how the genetic evolution, differentiation hierarchy and ontogeny of malignant myeloid cells intersect with each other, using new experimental systems and multimodal technologies, will fuel the next generation of research breakthroughs.

In this study, we present the first characterisation of the polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) paints of commercial Spanish brand La Pajarita preserved in the studios of Joan Miró (1893-1983) in Mallorca, Spain. Investigation of several black and white paint samples using complementary analytical techniques (XRD, SEM-EDX, FTIR, and Py-GC-MS) allowed for the identification of pigments and binding media in studio materials, as well as in three artworks dating from the 1970s. Through comparative analysis, it was possible to find significant similarities between the composition of La Pajarita paints conserved in cans in the artist's studio with black and white painted layers from three artworks by Miró.

Background: The Trial Remifentanil DEXmedetomidine (TREX) trial aimed to determine whether, in children less than 2 yr old, low-dose sevoflurane/dexmedetomidine/remifentanil anesthesia is superior to standard-dose sevoflurane anesthesia in terms of global cognitive function at 3 yr of age. Purpose: To assess the efficacy of machine learning and radiomics analysis by computed tomography (CT) in presurgical setting, to predict RAS mutational status in colorectal liver metastases.

Methods: Patient selection in a retrospective study was carried out from January 2018 to May 2021 considering the following inclusion criteria: patients subjected to surgical resection for liver metastases; proven pathological liver metastases; patients subjected to enhanced CT examination in the presurgical setting with a good quality of images; and RAS assessment as standard reference. A total of 851 radiomics features were extracted using the PyRadiomics Python package from the Slicer 3D image computing platform after slice-by-slice segmentation on CT portal phase by two expert radiologists of each individual liver metastasis performed first independently by the individual reader and then in consensus.
