ZSTK474, a promising novel anticancer molecule derived from s-triazine, found to have antitumor activities against different cancer cell lines. However, neither LCMS method nor pharmacokinetics of ZSTK474 has been reported till now. A sensitive, simple, short and specific liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LCMS/MS) method was developed for the quantification of ZSTK474 in mouse plasma accordance with the US Food and Drug Administration guidelines.

Geometry optimizations of anion (C and N) doped anatase TiO were carried out by using DFT+U calculations. Various anion vacancy sites were examined to study the synergistic effects of anion doping accompanied with anion vacancy formation on lattice oxygen activation. Two non-identical crystal planes (0 0 1) and (1 0 0) were chosen for C and N substitutions.

Purpose: This study compared masticatory and swallowing functional outcomes in maxillectomy patients who underwent surgical and prosthetic rehabilitation or prosthetic rehabilitation only following surgical resection.

Materials And Methods: This comparative cross-sectional study involved 20 maxillectomy patients and compared their masticatory and swallowing functions following combined surgical and prosthodontic management vs an exclusively prosthodontic approach. Masticatory performance was measured by an originally modified sieve method using hydrocolloid material, and video fluoroscopic examination was employed for swallowing assessments.

Double-doped skutterudite CoSb compounds are reported as a good n-type thermoelectric system which operate in the mid-temperature range. Instead of filling the skutterudite phase to minimize the thermal conductivity, it is proposed to induce disorder in the pnicogen rings by the substitution of Zn/Cd/Sn and Se. Structural analyses of the prepared compounds were carried out by Rietveld refinement process.

Avascular necrosis of the femur head (AVNFH) is a debilitating disease caused due to the use of alcohol, steroids, following trauma or unclear (idiopathic) etiology, affecting mostly the middle aged population. Clinically AVNFH is associated with impaired blood supply to the femoral head resulting in bone necrosis and collapse. Although Homocysteine (HC) has been implicated in AVNFH, levels of homocysteine and its associated pathway metabolites have not been characterized.

Neoplastic metastasis is a major process where tumor cells migrate from the primary tumor and colonize at other parts of our body to form secondary tumor. Cancer incidences are rising and novel anti-neoplastic compounds with new mechanism of actions are essential for preventing cancer related deaths. In the current examination, a novel series of pyridazine analogues 6a-l was synthesized and evaluated against metastatic neoplastic cells.

Rare earth ion Dy-doped tellurite glasses were synthesised in the system of (75-x)TeO-15SbO-10WO-xDyO (TSWD glasses). XRD and FTIR characterizations were used to find the crystalline and structural properties. The intensities of the electronic transitions and the ligand environment around the Dy ion were determined using the Judd-Ofelt (J-O) theory on the absorption spectra of the glasses.

Pure and doped ZnO (cation and anion doping) compositions have been designed in order to manipulate oxygen vacancy and antibacterial activity of ZnO. In this connection, we have synthesized and characterized micron sized ZnO, N doped micron sized ZnO, nano ZnO, nano Na and La doped ZnO. The intrinsic vacancies in pure ZnO and the vacancies created by N and Na doping in ZnO have been confirmed by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy(XPS) and Photoluminiscence Spectroscopy(PL).

For diabetic patients, fasting during Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, can cause wide fluctuations in blood sugar levels, posing a medical challenge for patients and physicians and increasing the risk of acute metabolic complications including hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, diabetic ketoacidosis, dehydration, and thrombosis. Proper patient education, risk stratification, and modification of antidiabetic medications can reduce the risk of complications.
