As a fast and reliable technology with applications in diverse biological studies, cell-free protein synthesis has become popular in recent decades. The cell-free protein synthesis system can be considered a complex chemical reaction system that is also open to exogenous manipulation, including that which could otherwise potentially harm the cell's viability. On the other hand, since the technology depends on the cell lysates by which genetic information is transformed into active proteins, the whole system resembles the cell to some extent.

Background: More than 50 ascidian species distributed in the Palk Bay, Southeast coat of India. Up to a very few molecular work has been performed to determine the evolutionary relationships of ascidians in the world.
Objectives: Present study explored the value of mtDNA data in assessing phylogenetic relationships within the family Ascidiacea, Didemnidae, Styelidae, and molecular identification of ascidians from the Palk Bay, Southeast coast of India.
Background: The rhizomes of Acorus calamus and their essential oil are widely used in the flavoring industry and production of alcoholic beverages in Europe. Recent reports have confirmed the presence of several pharmacological components in the rhizomes of A. calamus.

Electrochemical oxidation of tannery effluent was carried out in batch, batch recirculation and continuous reactor configurations under different conditions using a battery-integrated DC-DC converter and solar PV power supply. The effect of current density, electrolysis time and fluid flow rate on chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal and energy consumption has been evaluated. The results of batch reactor show that a COD reduction of 80.

Common salt is employed as the conventional agent for curing purpose. Use of salt enhances the pollution load of tannery effluent which becomes highly contaminated with increased total dissolved solids and chlorides.

Pro and hydroxypro are major imino acids present in collagen, an important connective tissue protein, essential for wound healing, which is a primary response to tissue injury. This study explains the role of L-pro on cutaneous wound healing in rats when administered both topically and orally.

Aim: To observe the efficacy of topical administration of an ethanolic extract of Ageratum conyzoides on cutaneous wound healing in rats.
Ozonation of leather dye effluent for removal of color and COD reduction covering wide range in operating parameters forms the scope of the present work. The influence of parameters such as influent pH, ozone flow rate and initial effluent concentration on ozonation efficiency has been critically examined. It has been observed from the present investigation that a maximum of COD removal efficiency of 92% has been achieved under optimum operating conditions.
