The Women's Health Care Committee was established in 2010 to improve the health of women. In the current academic year, this committee established seven subcommittees aimed at understanding diseases related to various age groups of women, including adolescence, sexual maturity, and menopause, and promoting research to improve the quality of life. Additionally, socially significant research has focused on infections, particularly resistant bacteria.

Methods And Results: The study enrolled 6 patients who received selexipag twice daily at an individualized dose based on body weight; maintenance doses were determined for each patient by 12 weeks after starting administration.
Introduction: A simple risk stratification model to predict aneurysm sac shrinkagein patients undergoing endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) for abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) was developed using machine learning-based decision tree analysis.
Methods: One hundred nineteen patients with AAA who underwent elective EVAR at Tokyo Medical University Hospital between November 2013 and July 2019 were included in the study. Predictors of aneurysm sac shrinkage identified in univariable analysis (P < 0.
Purpose: Trastuzumab-pertuzumab (HP) plus taxane is a current standard first-line therapy for recurrent or metastatic human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2)+ breast cancer (BC). We investigated noninferiority of eribulin to a taxane when combined with dual HER2 blockade as first-line systemic treatment for locally advanced/metastatic HER2+ BC.
Methods: In the phase III EMERALD trial (target sample size, 480; ClinicalTrials.
Purpose: This descriptive analysis evaluated the 2022 assisted reproductive technology (ART) data collected by the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology registry.
Methods And Results: In 2022 (cutoff date 30 November 2023), 634 of 635 registered ART facilities participated; 602 implemented ART treatment, with 543 630 registered cycles and 77 206 neonates (9.1% and 10.
Objectives: Underweight or obesity is associated with infertility in women, but large cohort studies with a life course perspective are rare. We explored the association between body mass index (BMI) at age 18 and subsequent infertility among Japanese women.
Study Design: In total, 15,907 married women aged 30-44 years who participated in a prospective cohort baseline survey during 2001-2007 were cross-sectionally analyzed.
Background: Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) has revolutionized the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms by offering a less invasive alternative to open surgery. Understanding the factors that influence patient outcomes, particularly for high-risk patients, is crucial. The aim of this study was to determine whether machine learning (ML)-based decision tree analysis (DTA), a subset of artificial intelligence, could predict patient outcomes by identifying complex patterns in data.

In addition, hyperandrogenism is relatively rare among Japanese PCOS patients. Therefore, these factors are considered in PCOS diagnostic criteria used in Japan.

Method: This cross-sectional study used a self-administered questionnaire. Pediatricians and OB/GYNs (n = 96) working at 14 hospitals in Tokushima Prefecture were surveyed.
Background: Japanese dietary patterns have traditionally focused on vegetables, legumes, and fish; however, in the last few quarters of the century, the consumption of meat, processed food, and ultra-processed food has become popular. It is anticipated that these changes in the Japanese dietary environment will increase the risk of developing psychosomatic disorders.
Methods: In this study, we examined the relationship between dietary habits, psychosomatic disorders, and a sense of achievement.
Optical trapping is an effective tool for manipulating micrometer-sized particles, although its application to nanometer-sized particles remains difficult. The field of optical trapping has advanced significantly, incorporating more advanced techniques such as plasmonic structures. However, single-molecule trapping remains a challenge.

We have treated POP surgically using laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy (LSC) or robotic-assisted sacrocolpopexy (RSC). The original LSC and RSC procedures were done with anterior and posterior meshes; however, the use of the single mesh procedure is increasing because of its simplicity and safety.

The aim of this study was to assess the current status of SPC prevention among female CAYA cancer survivors.
Methods: A survey regarding long-term health issues after cancer treatment was conducted using questionnaires that targeted women aged ≥20 years who had developed cancer before the age of 40 years.
Electron dynamics of the Na10 chain and the Na10-N2 complex locally excited by an atomistic optical near-field are investigated using real-time time-dependent density functional theory calculations on real-space grids. Ultrafast laser pulses were used to simulate the near-field excitation under on- and off-resonance conditions. Off-resonance excitation did not lead to the propagation of the excitation through the Na10 chain.

This report presents a 70-year-old man undergoing gastrectomy 33 years earlier for an acute gastric ulcer. His endoscopic finding showed a submucosal tumor about 20 mm in diameter at the gastro-jejunal anastomosis.

Aim: To establish cut-off values for anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) and antral follicle count (AFC) in the diagnostic criteria for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) applicable to the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (JSOG) 2024 criteria and the Rotterdam/International Evidence-Based Guideline for the assessment and management of PCOS (IEBG) 2023 criteria based on a nationwide survey, respectively, taking into account age, assays, and structure of the diagnostic criteria.
Methods: Data were collected for 986 PCOS cases and 965 control cases using a national survey in Japan and used to establish cut-off values for AMH and AFC.
Results: Serum AMH levels were significantly higher in the PCOS group compared to the control group.
The near field is a highly localized light field that is present in the vicinity of materials. It holds considerable potential for manipulating molecular excitation through the design of nanostructures. To that end, a simple yet applicable computational method is required.
