Growth development of children and adolescents with inflammatory bowel disease in the period 2000-2014 based on data of the Saxon pediatric IBD registry: a population-based study.

Background: The incidence of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in children is on the increase worldwide. Growth disorders are common in pediatric patients with inflammatory bowel disease. Introduction: The incidence and prevalence of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases in childhood and adolescence is increasing and varies internationally. The systematic literature review aims to describe international epidemiological trends of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases in the child and adolescence age. A period from 1970 to 2019 will be taken into account when searching for suitable studies as well as geographical differences in the development of incidences will be presented.

Long-Term Prognosis for Patients with Metabolic Syndrome after Recanalization Therapy for Stroke.

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is defined as a cluster of interrelated factors that significantly increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, including stroke. The aim of this study was to investigate the connection between MetS and its diagnostic criteria with the severity and outcome of stroke after recanalization therapy. Ninety four patients with acute ischemic stroke were included in the study.

[Nursing students' perceptions during voluntary training].

The aim of this study was knowing the perceptions experienced by the Nursing students during a voluntary training. The data collected from 12 participants in a university hospital, during the period from May to July 2002 were analyzed through the content analysis technique, resulting in four categories: the nursing staff, the hospital admission unit, nurses' attitudes that promote the students' growth, and the value of the experience for the academic students. The statements evidenced the significance of this practice for the academic student and allowed a reflection on the aspects that must be improved to make the learning process easier.
