The turnover intention rate among nurses is very high both worldwide, and in Europe. It is related to personal and professional factors that contribute to the decision to leave or stay. This descriptive cross-sectional study aimed to identify the personal and professional predictors that contribute to nurses' turnover intention in Croatia.

Development of nursing students' professional identity in different mentoring approaches during clinical training: A quasi-experimental study.

Background: The professional identity (PI) of nursing students' is essential for high quality performance and safe healthcare. Clinical training plays a key role in the development of professional identity during nursing studies.

Mentoring Support Quality in Group and Individual Mentoring Approaches during Nursing Clinical Training: A Quasi-Experimental Study.

Clinical training is an essential element in nursing education, the outcomes of which are directly related to the quality of mentoring support. This quasi-experimental study aimed to examine whether the group or individual form of the mentoring approach used and the order of application of the mentoring approach contribute to the quality of mentoring support provided to students. The study comprised two measurement points with 130 nursing students, divided into two groups with different orders of application of the mentoring approach.

Background: Fertility is a crucial component of population maintenance and growth. A declining fertility trend has been observed over the past two decades, and it continues. The birth rate in the Republic of Croatia is continuously decreasing, which is insufficient to maintain its population.

Relationship between Transition Shock, Professional Stressors, and Intent to Leave the Nursing Profession during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Moving nurses to a COVID-19 department may cause the phenomenon of transition shock, which occurs when already employed nurses change jobs. A set of confusing and uncertain feelings arise due to the unfamiliar work environment, which may lead to their intention to leave the nursing profession. The aim of this study was to examine transition shock and the contribution of both the respondents' characteristics and the presence of stressors to the occurrence of transition shock in nurses assigned to work in COVID-19 departments.

Are They the Same for All People? Nurses' Knowledge about the Basic Human Needs of People with Disabilities.

Nursing care involves a continuous interaction between nurses and people with disabilities. This has created a need for assessment tools that measure nurses' knowledge about the basic human needs of people with disabilities. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to develop a Knowledge of Basic Human Needs Scale and investigate nurses' levels of knowledge about the basic human needs of people with disabilities and their association with nurses' education.

Influence of the Cognitive and Emotional Status of Patients with Chronic Pain on Treatment Success (Reduction in Pain Intensity and Adherence to Pharmacotherapy): A Prospective Study.

This prospective study aimed to determine the cognitive and emotional status among patients with chronic pain and to examine the potential influence on the treatment success, measured by the reduction in pain intensity and adherence to pharmacotherapy. A total of seventy patients were followed for two months. The results of the comparison between patients who did and did not follow the physician’s instructions regarding adherence to pharmacotherapy showed a significant difference in cognitive status and a reduction in pain intensity.

Attitudes and factors that affect Croatian nursing students' choice of thesis type: A cross-sectional study.

Quality of Life and Mental Distress in Patients with Chronic Low Back Pain: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Despite world-level efforts and the endeavors of scientists and medical professionals in suppressing the COVID-19 pandemic, inadequate levels of vaccine literacy of the general population can represent a grave obstacle.
