Injury surveillance in Spanish professional female soccer players: A three-season retrospective study.

Introduction: Despite the popularity of soccer at the male elite level, data on the incidence of injuries in female players are limited. The study aimed to evaluate the injury incidence and rates in female soccer players in a professional setting over 3 consecutive seasons.

Methods: Data compiled from 71 elite female players with different playing positions and belonging to the same team were analyzed.

Contemporary ACL reconstruction techniques have recently been subject to renewed interest in this population. The objective of this study is to report the short- and mid-term results of our physis-sparing ACL reconstruction technique using an "over the top" technique associated with a modified Lemaire procedure.

Platelet-rich plasma in the management of trigger finger: A case report.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has emerged as a viable therapeutic alternative for a number of clinical applications and has potential benefit for use in trigger finger. However, PRP use has not been previously reported for this condition. We report a 63-year-old woman sustaining a refractory trigger finger after a series of three PRP injections over a 2-week period.

Adductor longus injury after electromechanical self-treatment: A case report.

Objective: This case report illustrates an unusual cause of hip adductor muscle injury due to overenthusiastic self-treatment of the previously overloaded adductor muscles. Also, post-injury therapeutic objectives and intervention to facilitate rapid participation in sports after the described process are provided.

Case Description: A 27-year old male, professional soccer player presented with hip adductors pain and impairment due to electromechanical self-treatment of the affected area.

Sex-Based Differences in Tensiomyography as Assessed in the Lower Erector Spinae of Healthy Participants: An Observational Study.

Background: Although there is mounting evidence on sex-linked differences in paraspinal muscle function, it is unknown whether sex-based variations in mechanical and contractile characteristics of the lumbar erector spinae (LES) can be monitored noninvasively in healthy participants at rest using tensiomyography (TMG).
