Introduction: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is often associated with reduced cerebral blood flow and an increased inflammatory response, leading to secondary brain damage. Stellate ganglion block (SGB) has been shown to improve cerebral hemodynamics in non-TBI, but its effects in TBI are still unclear.
Objective: This prospective pilot study investigates the effects of SGB on cerebral hemodynamics and neuroinflammatory responses in patients with moderate to severe TBI with the aim of evaluating its potential as a therapeutic intervention.
For first order metal-insulator transitions we show that, together with the dc conductance zero, there is a second critical point where the dielectric constant becomes zero and further turns negative. At this point the metallic reflectivity sharply increases. The two points can be separated by a phase separation state in a 3D disordered system but may tend to merge in 2D.

The instrument measured scattered solar radiation through three optical windows with a narrow field of view (FOV), one from the zenith, two from the horizontal, as well as actinic fluxes through 2pi FOV radiometric heads. Only a few airborne measurements of scattered solar radiation at different angles from the zenith are available in the literature.
