We studied low frequency ultrasound effects on lipid peroxidation in the liver and erythrocytes of rabbits with experimental posttraumatic osteoarthrosis induced by transchondrial damage of the medial condyle of the right femoral bone (2 mm in diameter and 1 cm in depth in the direction of the medullar canal). Prior to treatment, rabbits with experimental osteoarthrosis had enhanced lipid peroxidation in the liver and erythrocytes. Ultrasound normalizes the above disorders in lipid peroxidation.

Lung tissue in myocardial infarction was found out to accumulate neutral fats. Also recordable in lung tissue was redistribution of phospholipids, with the interalveolar septa structures getting reduced, which fact is accompanied by changes in fatty acid composition of lipids together with activation of lipid peroxidation processes.

Also influence of drugs was studied under antioxidative insufficiency (AOI), which had modelled by exclusion of alpha-tocopherol from the animal's ration.

Using the model systems of Pb-Sr intoxication on the white rats was found out, that incorporated Pb and Sr had influenced on the activity of lipoperoxidation in tissue of rat's internal organs. The intensification of the activity of lipoperoxidation was observed in liver, heart, spleen, less in kidneys after five days Pb-Sr intoxication. Twenty-days Pb-Sr intoxication was accompanied the depression of the activity of lipoperoxidation in liver, heart, kidneys; the activity of lipoperoxidation's activation was continued in spleen.

The results of of the study of the lipids fatty acids spectrum in the blood plasma and the secondary product of their spontaneous and NADPhH-dependent peroxidation, malonic dialdehyde, are stated. The dependence of changes in saturation of fatty acids spectrum and dialdehyde concentrations on the stage and heaviness of the multiple sclerosis is shown.

Combination of hyperbaric oxygenation (5-6 sessions) or riboxin with choline blocking agents made antioxidants unnecessary. Biochemical findings (vitamin E and malonic dialdehyde concentrations), electron microscopic, ++histo-enzyme and amino acids studies supported the clinical evidence.

This process was shown to be associated with a sharp stimulation of NADPH- and ascorbate-dependent lipid peroxidation in hepatocyte endoplasmic reticulum. The activation of lipid peroxidation was accompanied by disturbances in the kinetic properties of Ca2(+)-ATPase.

In rabbits and rats potassium glutaminate elicits antiarrhythmic effect in experimental arrhythmias induced by intravenous injection of strophanthine and calcium chloride, normalizes the content of electrolytes (potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium) in the myocardium and blood of animals after they are injected strophanthine.
