[Use of fiber endoscopes for a therapeutic purpose in gastrointestinal tract diseases].

The authors' experience counts more than 8000 endoscopic examinations of the gastro-intestinal tract. The possibilities of the curative use of fibroendoscopes are analyzed. The indications and contraindications for transendoscopic polypectomy and questions of the technique of endoscopic polypectomy are discussed.
