Results of the application of apparatus AKA-2 for the formation of compressive anastomoses under complicated conditions are discussed. Among them are: acute and chronic ileus, peritonitis, diabetes mellitus etc. Common negative factors for all the patients were symptoms of secondary immune deficiency and specific endogenous intoxication resulting from chronic internal irradiation by radionuclides (consequences of the disaster in Chernobyl atomic power station in 1986).

In stage I-II prolapse, the interventions on the external anal sphincter and prolapsing rectum are the operations of choice, and in stage III-IV-intraabdominal fixation of the rectum by the lavsan strip to the anterior longitudinal ligament of the vertebral column, the free ends of which are sutured to the lateral surfaces of the rectum. A new method of total colectomy is proposed including removal of the rectum mucosa and the endorectal loop ileoanal anastomosis and simultaneous creation of the small intestine reservoir (operations on 2 patients) and a new method of creation of the small intestine reservoir (operations on 7 patients). Good functional results were obtained.
