We examined the dynamics of folliculogenesis in ovarian tissue allograft and its endocrine function in an organism of castrated recipient rats during 100 days. Growth and development of ovarian tissue and its steroidogenic function in heterotopic transplantation were determined by its initial morphological organization. Allotransplantation of mature ovarian tissue was found to cause preservation of its morphological structure, whereas the transplantation of neonatal ovarian tissue caused formation of follicular cysts.

In this work, a comparative analysis of dynamics of morphological development and endocrine function of transplants of sexually mature and neonatal ovarian tissue was performed under conditions of bilateral ovariectomy of animals-recipients. It has been established that at transplantation of the sexually mature ovarian tissue there were observed all stages of folliculogenesis and preservation of endocrine function at long-term observation (up to 100 days). At transplantation of neonatal ovarian tissue there was revealed a pathological picture of its development: hyperplasia of stromal structure and formation of cysts and cystomae.

The aim of investigation was a comparative analysis of morphofunctional characteristics of allografts of mature ovarian tissue and neonatal ovary depending on initial hormonal status of recipient animals. Rats' mature ovarian tissue and neonatal ovary were transplanted under renal capsule simultaneously with ovariectomy and 2 months later. Data analysis indicated that the development of ovarian tissue transplant was determined by its maturity and initial hormonal status of recipient.
