[Effects of monorecessive and double recessive mutations affecting coat color on the monoamine content of the brain of the American mink (Mustela vison Schreber, 1777)].

The effects of mutations affecting the coat color on the dopamine, noradrenaline, and serotonin contents of the hypothalamus and brainstem of the American mink have been studied. The sample comprised standard (+/+) and mutant minks, including the monorecessive pastel (b/b), silver-blue (p/p), and white hedlund (h/h) and the combination double recessive sapphire (a/a p/p) and pearl (k/k p/p) ones. The dopamine content of the brainstem of the monorecessive pastel (b/b) and silver-blue (p/p) minks has been found to be higher than in standard (+/+) minks.

[Effect of the natriuretic factor obtained from arterial blood of dogs on cardio- and hemodynamics in experimental studies].

The natriuretic factor, inhibiting Na-K-ATPase, exerts a stable positive inotropic and negative chronotropic effect as a result of its single administration in a dose stimulating the natriuretic activity of the kidneys. It also decreases the overall peripheral vascular resistance. The mean arterial pressure slightly changes.

[Enhancement of the information value of kidney scintigraphy using 99m Tc-DMSA].

A method of high frequency image filtration improving the quality of imaging, and more precise renometry with measurement of the total count and the level of RP kidney accumulation were used for raising the informative value of the results of renal scintigraphy with 99m Tc-DMSA. 54 patients with unilateral pyelonephritis, 46--with bilateral pyelonephritis, 15--with nephroptosis, and 10 healthy persons were examined. Informative values were calculated on the basis of the results of these investigations.

[Structure of functional scintigraphic images during the development of gallbladder bile reflux into the intrahepatic ducts].

The authors proposed a method of cholescintigraphy with functional imaging reflecting RP distribution within the entire area in the field of vision of a gamma-chamber detector taking account of the type of motor activity of the gall bladder. This method was based on plotting an activity-time curve along the outer contour of a gall bladder image, the determination of moments of change in gall bladder motor activity on this curve, and the calculation of corresponding gradients of RP accumulation and clearance functions represented on an image where the color of each element was determined by a sign of the gradient and its intensity--by its absolute value. The use of this method in 92 patients made it possible to reveal conditions with possible B-bile reflux into the intrahepatic ducts, and to raise its diagnostic accuracy by 7% as compared to a routine analysis of activity-time curves by decreasing the number of false-negative results.

[Study of the contractile function of the gallbladder using cholescintigraphy].

The motor activity of the gall bladder was studied using cholescintigraphy with 99m Tc-HIDA in 57 patients with chronic cholecystitis and chronic hepatitis and in 9 controls. [Analysis of the relation between character expressions on the right and left sides of the body for genes with bilateral phenotype action. Experimental studies on Drosophila].

The interdependence between manifestations of character on different sides of the body in case of mutations with incomplete penetrance affecting phenotypically symmetrical parts of the body was analysed in several stocks of Drosophila melanogaster. According to Astaurov's conception, if manifestations of character on different sides of the body of an individual are independent events, the heterogeneity of genetic background and environment causes a positive dependency in the mutant stock. About 130 anomalous characters of 15 alleles of 6 genes were examined.
