[The causes of unauthorized termination of specific treatment by patients with tuberculosis].

The article deals with the issue of unauthorized termination of chemotherapy by patients with tuberculosis. Some characteristics of present legal base in the aspects of social support of tuberculosis patients are discussed. The results of sociologic survey of patients in the TB dispensaries of Nijegorodskaya oblast related to the issues of TB awareness as a social important and social dangerous disease and its treatment as well.

[The medical legal ensuring of tuberculosis control].

The article deals with the issue of spreading of tuberculosis on the territory of Nijegorodskaya Oblast. The difficult epidemiological situation related to this socially dangerous disease demands urgent resolution of problems closely involved with the examination and treatment of certain groups of patients independently of their consent. The article presents the review of actual normative base of non-voluntary medical care provision in the Russian Federation and some countries of CIS.

Issues of personnel maintenance in municipal health care system are discussed. Detailed analisis of gender, age and work duration of medical personnel is presented and analisis of medical staff stability in municipal health care as well.

[A 2-stage method for the surgical correction of calcified aortic stenosis in patients with an extreme degree of risk for an operation].

During the period of 1992-1998 the authors dealt with treatment of 32 patients with aortic stenosis under extreme risk of operation. All the patients were considered to be inoperable because of the severity of their state. At the first stage of operation the catheter balloon valvuloplasty (CBV) was performed for decompression of the left ventricle since it was the only possible variant at this stage of surgical treatment.
