[Combined physiobalneotherapy of vibration disease associated with dyscirculatory encephalopathy in the miners].

The present study included 161 patients with vibration disease associated with dyscirculatory encephalopathy. It was designed to estimate the degree of cognitive dysfunction and the efficacy of its treatment by physiobalneotherapeutic techniiques including low-frequency pulsed currents in combination with general artificial sodium chloride and iodine bromide baths. In addition, the influence of combined therapy on the clinical course of the disease, results of neuropsychological tests, and cerebral hemodynamics was evaluated.

[Systemic approach to organization of prevention and treatment of vibration disease].

Results of follow-up in 2012 miners including vibration disease sufferers proved efficiency of systematic approach to prevention and treatment management in those patients--lower morbidity and economic losses prevention were seen.

[The role of physical balneological factors in the treatment of occupational diseases].

The authors review the results obtained in the treatment of some occupational diseases using physical factors. In osteoarthritis patients exposed to fluorine compounds good results were achieved at employment of decimeter-wave therapy combined with mud applications or sulfurated hydrogen baths. Patients with scapulohumeral periarthritis benefited from combination of EHF therapy with alternating magnetic field.
