[The problem of diagnosis and treatment of urogenital chlamydiosis in Russia].

The problems associated with the distribution, diagnosis, classification and treatment of urogenital tract chlamydiosis in Russia are discussed. Some arrangements for the improvement of the activities of the laboratory diagnostic services, the use of the International Classification of urogenital tract chlamydioses and the treatment optimization are offered. The drug of choice in the treatment of urogenital tract chlamydiosis is azithromycin (Sumamed, Pliva).

[The therapeutic efficacy of tigazon in treating dermatoses].

Forty patients with various dermatoses (psoriasis, ichthyosis, Darier's disease, discoid lupus erythematosis) were followed-up over the course of treatment with tigason, an aromatic retinoid. The effect was satisfactory in the majority of patients. Side effects were recorded in 16 cases.

[Vipsogal in the therapy of psoriasis].

A new external drug, vipsogal, manufactured by Galenika, Yugoslavia, was used in therapy of 205 patients suffering from psoriasis. The drug proved to be fairly effective. The authors recommend vipsogal to be included in the complex of drugs used in therapy of psoriasis.

The characteristics of cutaneous manifestations in diabetes mellitus are presented. The clinical features of the skin lesions are described in relation to the severity of metabolic disorders. The clinical and biochemical features of Necrobiosis lipoidica, its classification and methods of treatment are detailed.
