Gunshot injury causes a complex of changes in perinecrotic area covering all tissue structures of skin which is discussed as a systemic organ disintegration, including disintegration of dermal differons. Connective tissue regeneration is reflected by a determined process. Replacement of a defect with granulation tissue should be considered as a reparative regeneration.

This is a short review of investigations of an applied character, performed at the Department of Histology and Embryology of the Academy. Most of the investigations have been carried out as joint works with clinicians and are aimed to solve some actual tasks of practical medicine. Their main contents have been investigations on reactivity and degeneration of tissues under various experimental and clinical conditions.

Problems on correlation of processes of normal histogenesis and those of physiological and reparative regeneration are discussed. A special attention is paid to the cellular-differon organization of tissue and its significance for understanding cellular mechanisms and ultrastructural bases in tissue regeneration after lesions and use of biostimulators of various origin. Certain peculiarities have been revealed in changes of intra- and interdifferon interrelations of cells in various tissues at regenerative histogenesis.
