[Modeling of the polycystic ovary syndrome].

The objective of the study was to create a model of the polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) developing in puberty. 17beta-estradiol 1.5 mg as gel was once applied to the preshaved abdominal skin of 15 female Wistar rats aged 30 days weighing 30-35 g, who had no regular 4-day estrous cycles.
