[Diagnosis and surgical treatment of perforated ulcers of the stomach and duodenum].

An analysis of treatment of 102 patients with perforated ulcers of the stomach and duodenum allowed to give a positive estimation of different combinations of subsidiary instrumental methods of examination (fibrogastroscopy, laparocentesis, fibrogastroscopy + laparocentesis etc.) in diagnosis of the disease. It was noted that these methods substantially improve the differential diagnostics and can be widely used in clinical practice.

[Possibilities of diagnostic microlaparotomy in emergency surgery of organs of the abdominal cavity].

A method of diagnosing acute diseases of abdominal organs in patients who had been subjected to operations on organs of the abdominal cavity is described. The method is efficient and can give better results of treatment of such patients. It allows the amount of exploratory laparotomies to be reduced.

[Selective intra-arterial use of small doses of thienam and vasaprostanin the treatment of suppurative diseases of the foot in patients with diabetes mellitus].

The authors present data of using the selective intraarterial infusion of Thienam and Vasaprostan for treatment of purulent diseases of the foot in 70 patients with diabetes mellitus. The microsurgical method was used. The proposed method is thought to be expedient and highly effective.

[The use of protease inhibitors in the treatment of burn wounds].

The results of experimental and clinical studies of the effect of contrykal and aminocaproic acid on tissue regeneration in deep burns are presented. In the experiment, by means of planimetric, histologic, histochemical and biochemical methods of investigation, the positive effect of inhibitors on healing of the burn wounds is shown. In treatment of 272 patients with deep burns, it was established that use of protease inhibitors at the phase of regeneration contributed to 2-fold acceleration of marginal epithelization, shortening of time of would preparation to autodermoplasty by 3-4 days, increase in effectiveness of survival of the cutaneous flaps.
