The present work focuses on the photophysical behavior of meso-N-butylcarbazole-substituted BODIPY (CBZ-BDP) in different organized media towards exploring the possible use of the dye as a molecular sensor and imaging agent. The molecule shows an appreciable change in absorption and emission spectra at 75% water-acetonitrile mixture compared to pure acetonitrile. In water-acetonitrile mixture, it displays aggregate-induced emission (AIE) bands.

This work demonstrates the light-assisted oxidation of organic compounds employing rhenium(I)dipyrrinato complexes as catalysts. The heavy atom effect in rhenium(I)dipyrrinato complexes leads to the formation of long-lived triplet excited states, and these complexes can generate singlet oxygen in excellent yields (up to 84 %).

The presence of different chromophores on the Ir(III) dipyrrinato complexes altered their optical properties and produced strong emission in the red to NIR region (680-900 nm) with huge Stokes shifts (5910-7045 cm). X-ray structure of N-phenylcarbazole substituted BODIPY revealed lower torsion angle between BODIPY plane and carbazole plane, suggesting increased communication between the two units. A quinoxaline-functionalized styryl-BODIPY derivative (S1) was synthesized by microwave-assisted Knoevenagel condensation. It exhibited fluorescence enhancement upon micro-encapsulation into the hydrophobic cavity of bovine serum albumin (BSA). Materials And Methods: The agar diffusion test was done to measure the antimicrobial activity of sealers. The sealers were put in the 4 mm wells prepared in the inoculated agar plates.
