Introduction: Overactive bladder (OAB) in children is clinically common and seriously affects the physical and mental health of children. The voiding frequency (VF) is an important basis for the diagnosis of OAB. The emergence of home-uroflowmetry (HUF) has allowed the patients to record the VF while recording the uroflowmetry at home, and the voiding at home can show the real voiding situation.

As obtaining a semen analysis (SA) may be challenging, there is need for objective tests as measures of fecundity. Our aim was to investigate the relationship between testicular volume differential (TVD), varicocele grade, and total testicular volume (TTV) on seminal parameters including total motile sperm count (TMSC).

If ineffective, combination therapy of desmopressin + oxybutynin or desmopressin + imipramine has been used. This study assessed the efficacy of adjunct therapy with either imipramine or oxybutynin in the management of enuresis patients who failed desmopressin treatment.

Previous studies have utilized adult and pediatric nomograms and flow shapes to define obstruction, however these methods are limited by a lack of standardization and lack of interrater reliability when determining flow shapes, respectively. The idealized voider derived flow indexes offer a way to track uroflowmetry results in a volume and age agnostic manner.

Methods: All patients diagnosed with high-grade UTUC and managed endoscopically between January 1996 and August 2022 were included in the study. Subsequently, patients were categorised based on their use of ICIs into group 1 (patients who did not receive ICIs) and group 2 (patients who received ICIs).
Purpose: Urodynamic testing (UDS) is an important tool in the management of pediatric lower urinary tract conditions. There have been notable efforts to standardize pediatric UDS nomenclature and technique, but no formal guidelines exist on essential elements to include in a clinical report. We sought to identify ideal structure and elements of a pediatric UDS assessment based on expert consensus.

Our present understanding of bowel and bladder control has changed dramatically with the introduction of functional imagining technologies such as PET, SPECT, fMRI scanning, and near-infrared spectroscopy of the brain. Urologists tend to see control of urination and defecation as processes that occurred at or below the level of the pons for the most part. In this chapter, we examine the control of storing and emptying of urine and stool from what will be a more neurocentric perspective, integrating the frontal lobes into the process and moving beyond the pons on which most of the literature has focused in the past.

Our aim was to evaluate the efficacy of GOGOband® for users in the first 18-months of use.
Methods: A quality assurance study was conducted on data retrieved from our servers, of initial users of the GOGOband® which includes a heart rate monitor, moisture sensor, bedside PC-tablet, and a parent app.
Purpose: OnabotulinumtoxinA is an approved treatment for neurogenic detrusor overactivity in adults inadequately managed with anticholinergics, and more recently was approved in children on the basis of a phase 3, 48-week, single-treatment study (NCT01852045). Given the paucity of long-term pediatric data, we report on the continued safety in these patients after repeated onabotulinumtoxinA treatment.
Materials And Methods: This was a multicenter, double-blind, repeat-treatment extension study (NCT01852058) in patients who entered from the preceding single-treatment study.
Introduction: The management of neurogenic bladder mostly relies on urodynamic studies; however, several studies have shown low interobserver reproducibility. The aim of this study was to evaluate if a new objective cystometric parameter was superior to other cystometric measures.
Patients And Methods: A new parameter (pressure adjusted area under curve ratio, PAUC) was formulated from the ratio of area under the cystometry curve to a DLPP-adjusted total area (A).
Aims: Neurodevelopmental disorders (NDs) are incapacitating disorders, which begin early in life, are mainly caused by genetic and neurobiological factors, and show a tendency to persist. They are associated with higher rates of incontinence in children and adolescents, including nocturnal enuresis, daytime urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, and constipation. Without diagnosis and treatment, they will interfere with incontinence treatment leading to less favorable outcomes.

Materials And Methods: Descriptive, analytical, non-interventional, cross-sectional study conducted between February 2017 and January 2018 with individuals aged between 5 and 17 years old, with overactive bladder (OAB group) or asymptomatic (control). Neurological or anatomical abnormalities, diabetes mellitus and kidney failure constituted exclusion criteria.
To determine the prevalence of bladder and bowel dysfunction (BBD) and its relationship with delayed elimination communication (EC) in children. A cross-sectional study was carried out in kindergartens and primary schools in mainland China. A total of 10,166 children ranging from 4 to 10 years old were included.

Methods: This was a 48-week prospective, multicenter, randomized, double-blind study in children (aged 5-17 years) with NDO and urinary incontinence (UI) receiving one onabotulinumtoxinA treatment (50, 100, or 200 U; not to exceed 6 U/kg). Primary endpoint: change from baseline in daytime UI episodes.
Introduction: Parasacral transcutaneous electriconeural stimulation (pTENS) is a common treatment modality for patients with overactive bladder (OAB). Its mechanism of effectiveness has yet to be elucidated. Recent studies with fMRI in adults with implanted sacral nerve stimulators impute its effectiveness on changes in the brain involving the anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) and prefrontal cortex (PFC).

Aim: A cross-professional team of experts affiliated with the International Children's Continence Society (ICCS) undertook to update the previous guidelines for the evaluation and treatment of children with enuresis.
Introduction: The standard recommended treatment for neurogenic detrusor overactivity (NDO) is clean intermittent catheterization combined with an antimuscarinic agent. However, the adverse systemic side-effects of oxybutynin, the most widely used agent, are of concern.
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of solifenacin in pediatric patients with NDO, aged 6 months-<5 years and 5-<18 years.
